Lessons
TPF is a hunter/jumper show barn which means that we teach hunt seat equitation. The farm travels to many types of competitions throughout the year and while it is not required that riders show, we wish to identify and develop those riders who are interested. Competition starts with Leadline and continues through all ages and levels. Our trainers have extensive experience matching riders and mounts and have qualified many of their riders for State and National Competitions. Please contact Rick Dayner if you are interested in showing, leasing or buying.
THE LESSON PROGRAM:
We offer lessons for all levels of experience from first-time beginners to advanced riders. Lessons are held Wednesday through Sunday. We do require that lessons be taken on a weekly basis as opposed to every other week, or once or twice a month. If you are interested in showing it is suggested that you take at least 2 lessons a week with one of our instructors.
**NEW** TINY TROTTERS
Tiny Trotters is a lesson plan that provides a great introduction to all aspects of horse care for riders 4 - 6 years old. Safe handling and proper grooming of the pony, as well as age/level appropriate mounted exercises are all covered. Riders will begin on a leadline with an assistant and progress at their own pace.
We offer private and group lessons with either of our two instructors based on your ability level.
Rick Dayner is also available for "ship-in" lessons at our farm with your horse and training at shows. Please contact him for more details and to discuss your specific needs.
